29 weeks bump

Sorry it has taken me so long to post a new picture of the Baby Bump! Shelby is growing and moving around alot. I think her fingers and toes are getting stuck in my ribs. I can't believe that we are around 10 weeks away. Hopefully maybe even sooner. Brad and I went to Preparing for Parenthood classes last Saturday. They gave us some good information. We were also privileged to watch a birth on video. Not sure if we needed to see that!!

Honoring Audrey

This Wednesday, October 15th was National Day of Remembrance for Pregnancy and Infant Loss. I have been following a blog by Angie Smith. I was drawn to the name Bring the Rain: The story of Audrey Caroline. Angie is a wonderful writer. She lost her daughter shortly after birth. She asked for women to post their stories about their babies. She has 1816 responses as of this morning. Please remember all of these families. Losing babies and infants is more common that I could have ever imagined. God has a plan for all of those precious angels. However, it is very hard for us on Earth to understand why. Shy Shelby

We had a 26 week ultrasound this week. The tech flipped to 4d so that we could see Shelby's face. Well, I guess she did not want her picture taken! It is still neat to see her arms and some of her face. The doctor's appointment went well. We will go every two weeks for right now. I am ready for her to be here!! I know she needs to grow a little more though. She weighs about 1 pound 13 ounces as of last Monday. She is moving around alot. It is very strange to watch my stomach move around. However, I love that she moves all the time. It is something I that I prayed for and God is definitely answering that prayer:)

I have also painted some pictures for Shelby's room. I love the saying "Live, Laugh, Love". Her nursery is coming together. I enjoy sitting in there. Now all the room needs is Snuggle Bug ( I know not for about 13 more weeks!).

Our Weekend with Reid

Brad and I had a fun filled weekend taking care of our nephew Reid. On Friday night, when we got home we realized just how many things in our house have Auburn on them. Reid points to them and says "Bauburn". He kept pointing to things and saying it. He definitely knows the right team to cheer for! On Saturday morning, we took him to the Moody Park. We put up our Auburn flags on the car and the whole way he repeated "Flag". Holly told me he likes flags so we should have thought about that before we put them up. He had fun swinging and climbing. Brad's parents and Brittney came over for the game. Needless to say not a very exciting game but we won. Reid started saying "Lala" with about 5 minutes left in the game. Thankfully Holly had given me a list of Reid language. Lala meant outside. Well, he went around the room asking to "Lala". He was pretty upset that no one was taking him outside. Finally Brad gave in. Brad tried to get Reid to call him "UB" all weekend (from the movie Uncle Buck). Reid just laughs and says Brad. He has tried to say my name as well but it is a little harder to say. So it comes out as "Keke". Which is fine with me. Then we went to El Caz to eat. Reid enjoyed some chips. We came home and we all got a good night's sleep. We were a little late to church on Sunday. You don't realize how the morning flies by. We had so much fun and loved having Reid. We also had the chance to go see "Fireproof" with Kim and Jason Bookout. This is a really powerful movie about what God can do in your life. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!
